Audra became a nurse later in life, after working at a technology consulting firm with a focus on healthcare and engineering software. After loving the healthcare field from the technology side, nursing school was the next logical step. In nursing school, she found her passion with her first rotation at a mental health facility. After graduation she continued to work in residential and outpatient mental health until ultimately earning her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Robert Morris University (2011). As a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ANCC), Audra has performed thousands of evaluations and medication management appointments with incarcerated patients, as well as patients in community hospitals and outpatient settings. Audra also guest lectures and teaches graduate level courses in Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Programs (topics include: neurobiology, psychopharmacology, personality disorders, and nursing research). She is able to see patients 18 years of age or older.
